Your London Wedding Venue

Updated: Feb 5

London is as cosmopolitan as it is British with so much diversity and many from across the waters, I take pride in living and working in London where there is so much to see & so many wonderful people to meet. I can spend days exploring its historic charm and personality & still have so many questions.

Which is why I now write this blog, on what I believe to be some of London’s most prestigious venues that I work closely with. Perfect to host your city glam wedding in the heart of London & all it has to offer.

In no particular order of preference, I have listed my chosen venues and all its hidden gems below;

The Dukes Hotel

The Dukes Hotel situated in the prestigious St James, the Dukes hotel is perfect for your intimate affairs with its interior oozing subtle luxury & its outstanding reputation within the wedding industry, The Dukes hotel is licensed for both weddings & civil partnerships, ceremonies can take place in the St James suite accommodating up to 60 guests. Their in-house event team will create an unforgettable experience for you and your loved ones.

In their own words, “an extraordinary place where dreams come true and memories are made”.

From the very first time that you reach out to us, your Dukes London personal wedding planner will be on-hand to help guide you through each step of your wedding journey, from flowers and photographers to cakes and entertainment.

I was invited to the Dukes hotel by my wonderful friend, event manager Alberto, who not only showed me great hospitality, but gave me the Duke hotel 5-star luxury experience. Dining in the great British restaurant and bar, I thoroughly enjoyed a mouth-watering three course meal & excellent service from staff who were ever so friendly, it was a real pleasure.

As quoted by the New York Times, “DUKES Bar concocts, one of the world’s best Martinis”.

The Dorchester

The Dorchester, one of the world’s most iconic hotel, in their own words, a place that defines its destination. Welcome to care, to refinement, to whatever your heart desires.

With a variety of spaces to host your wedding, the ballroom is the magnificent banqueting room with its own entrance on Park Lane, this has been the setting for some of London’s finest gatherings, an absolute favourite of mine at The Dorchester.

As you enter its Park lane entrance, feel like royalty as you step into a room with so much history, indulge in its 1930’s classic art décor interiors. Welcome your guests with charming extravagance.

“We’re honoured to be trusted with your most important moments. In return, we’re committed to giving you the time of your life and a lifetime of memories”. (Joe Flattery, Events operation manager).

St James Hotel

It all started in 1857 when the English aristocrat Earl Granville and Marchese d’Azeglio found a new club intended as a London base for travelling diplomats.

First a gentlemen’s club and now as a 5-star hotel for those in search of a luxurious, discreet bolthole in one of London’s most desirable areas of Mayfair.

Ideal for your intimate affairs St James hotel can accommodate up to 60 guests. The hotel holds a full wedding license, with a team who acquire industry knowledge & an immaculate service.

Michelin starred chef William Drabble will inspire you with a mouth-watering recipe to create the desired menu for you & your guests.

I recently had the pleasure of hosting a styled shoot at St James hotel & club, throughout my stay, staff were exceptionally graceful offering an outstanding service, it was a complete pleasure to work alongside Rita, now a close friend & an asset to St James. Together we created a delightful day, from the Head Concierge Tony O’Connell, ‘expert in all things fun’, Madeleine, Robert & Hugo, the Event manager Jeroen who is extremely accommodating, I take pride in knowing such cooperative & diligent individuals, a true delight to work with.

A fantastic venue to host your wedding.

Full of charm & character there is no doubt this luxury boutique will give you the city glam wedding you have been looking for.

The Ritz

“When the Ritz first opened its doors on 25th May 1906, it was considered one of the greatest hotels in the world. Conceived by the famous hotelier César Ritz with the aim of becoming the ultimate destination for guests looking to stay at the most luxurious hotel in the land, no expense was spared on its opulent interiors and lavish furnishings.”

When you hear ‘The Ritz’ you think extravagance at its finest & rightly so, the Ritz has maintained its reputation for 113 years & counting, as it is known there is nothing dull about the Ritz or its interiors, it is definitely fit for royalty.

Licensed for ceremonies, declare your love in the most exquisite of settings, which can accommodate up to 100 guests for a standing reception.  William Kent House, which adjoins The Ritz, can accommodate 250 guests.

You can now enjoy their elegant secret garden bar that can accommodate up to 100 guests. A true hidden gem.

This spectacular outdoor space provides a tranquil oasis for a pre-dinner drinks reception as well as a perfect location to pose for wedding photos.

Yukari, the event manager was charming & very much enlightening with so much knowledge & passion, it is clear that the Ritz not only is an outstanding venue but outstanding within its staff.

Devere grand connaught rooms

I have had the pleasure of attending Devere grand connaught rooms in west London, grand in its reputation and grand in it interior, with accommodating staff & wonderful hospitality from the event management team. Ellis, the event manager, took great pride in showing me round its prestigious walls & high ceilings full of character and charisma where your fairy tale could take place.

In Deveres' own words, it’s difficult not to be impressed by the grand art-deco interiors of Devere Grand Connaught Rooms. As you & your guests sweep across the marble chequerboard floor of reception, you know you have arrived at a leading London wedding venue.

Crystal chandeliers, 42-foot high ornate ceiling, detailed wood-panelling, the venues’ Grand Hall is the grand dame of wedding suites – outshining the competition with its art-deco opulence and elegant style for up to 750 guests for the ceremony.

I could see that these were not just words but the true reality of the De Vere grand Connaught rooms, I was truly captivated by all its attractiveness & uniqueness. Perfect for your grand events & highly recommended.

From the very start, Ellis was and still is a true expert in his field & I look forward to working in partnership with him in the near future.
